For More Information:
Amber England,

Volunteers with the Yes On 802 campaign will start collecting signatures Wednesday to put Medicaid expansion on the ballot. The campaign will have 90 days to gather the signatures of nearly 178,000 registered voters.

To talk with volunteers who will be knocking on doors or to capture b-roll and photos of the signature collection effort, please join us for a media availability at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Oklahoma City or 2 p.m. in Tulsa.  A canvass will take place in neighborhoods near the meet up location.

Medicaid expansion will help meet the healthcare needs of rural residents and Oklahomans who have lower-paying jobs that don’t come with insurance. The state question would bring more than a billion of our tax dollars back from Washington every year to deliver healthcare for nearly 200,000 Oklahomans, help keep rural hospitals open, and create thousands of jobs.

  • Oklahoma City:  11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, at the Oklahoma Hospital Association, 4000 N Lincoln Blvd
  • Tulsa: 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, at the Legacy Plaza Tower, First Floor Lobby, 5330 E. 31st St.

The Yes On 802 campaign is working to put Medicaid expansion on the ballot in 2020. It is supported by a growing coalition of Oklahoma doctors, nurses, patients, business executives, non-profit organizations, healthcare advocates and hospitals. Voters from across the state will be part of the signature collection effort over the next 90 days.
